With the modified UM code we'll need to run with NUOPC control even for atmosphere only. Therefore we might as well use NUOPC to update the SST and sea ice in AMIP mode. An advantage is that this could potentially use the 0.25 degree original master files, e.g. ~access/umdir/ancil/atmos/master/sst/reynolds/198109_201912_gregorian/v1/reynolds_sst.nc and interpolate during the run.
