AdGuard-2.16.0.1824-beta cannot activate the license #1491
Comments
@Chamiu It seems that the problem you are experiencing is related to the Orion browser. Could you please try to activate a licence using a different browser? |
I try Safari ver.18.0 (20619.1.26.31.6). I have 2 licenses at unused portions of AdGuard. 1st. pattern
2nd. pattern
|
@Chamiu In this case, could you please let us know if you have antivirus or network filtering software installed on your device? Also, please send us the application logs. We need them to diagnose and throubleshoot this problem.
And if possible, please attach a screen recording of the issue to the logs email. |
@AlexandrPkhm I try again.
I usually block connecting to servers in areas (=Hong Kong) under control of Communist Party of China to circumvent the National Security Protection Act on Little Snitch mini. emailed attach log and screenshot. |
@Chamiu Judging by your description of steps to reproduce, it seems that you are using both activation methods simultaneously. Activation via web login might have issues due to National Security Protection Act. Please try the following: |
@AlexandrPkhm
It seems that my environment is the cause, but it's no longer a failure. If you want to maintain this authentication method, I will have to give up using AdGuard. Can we somehow return it to the same method as up to ver.2.15? |
@AlexandrPkhm One more thing. There is room for improvement in the layout of the license activation window. Isn't it like this? |
@Chamiu We have released a AdGuard for Mac Nightly build with additional logging designed specifically to diagnose the issue you are experiencing. Please download it using the following link https://agrd.io/mac_nightly, enable debug logging and reproduce the issue with Web-login activation pattern. Then send the logs archive to [email protected] with |
@Chamiu We have reviewed the logs you provided and it appears that the issue you are experiencing is related to the inability of the application to access one of its libraries. This library should be recreated when you reset your settings, so please try the following: Open AdGuard → press the gear icon → select Advanced → Reset settings → perform a settings reset and check if the issue persists afterwards. If the problem persists, or if resetting the settings isn't an option for you, please re-record the logs. However, we have noticed that you reset the logs before reproducing the problem. Please do not reset the logs, as we can't see if the program started correctly if the logs are reset. |
