The GLPv3 license seems a bit of an overkill for dot-files. I used the fancy_taglist in my AwesomeWM config and now I technically have to release it under GPL if I want to share it with anyone, passing the burden onto them in the process.
Writing dot-files overall is more of a casual hobby and should not be regulated with such a strong license.
