Enabling transparency between the new geological map layer from Macrostrat and other map layers--Terrain, Basic, Topo, Satellite--would further enhance the utility of the new Macrostrat layer in the various mapping interfaces for data quality control purposes.

As an example, here is similar transparency tool in GeoLocate:
