Table tennis, also known as ping-pong, is a fast-paced two-player game played on a rectangular table divided by a net. Each player uses a small paddle to hit a lightweight ball back and forth over the net.
The game begins with a serve, where the ball must bounce once on the server's side and then on the opponent's side. Players take turns hitting the ball, aiming to make it bounce on the opponent's side of the table. Points are scored when a player fails to return the ball, hits it out of bounds, or into the net.
The game continues until one player reaches the required number of points to win, typically 11 or 21.
