Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

As a team engaged in academic research, we pledge to uphold the highest standards of integrity, objectivity, and professionalism in our work. We recognize the importance of rigorous and ethical research practices and commit to conducting our research with diligence and dedication.

We pledge to approach our research with an open mind, recognizing the potential biases and limitations that may exist. We will strive to maintain a spirit of curiosity and intellectual humility, recognizing that there is always more to learn and discover.

We will treat all participants in our research with respect and dignity, ensuring that their rights and welfare are protected at all times. We will obtain informed consent and maintain confidentiality and anonymity as appropriate.

We will communicate our research findings clearly, honestly, and accurately, acknowledging any limitations or potential areas of uncertainty. We will also strive to disseminate our research results widely, making them accessible to all who may benefit from them.

As a team, we recognize that our work has the potential to make a significant impact on the world, and we pledge to use our research to advance knowledge, promote understanding, and contribute to the betterment of society.

Our Standards

7.Communicate our research findings clearly and accurately, acknowledging any uncertainties or limitations, and 6presenting our data in a manner that is understandable to a diverse audience.

8.Disseminate our research results widely, making them accessible to all who may benefit from them, while respecting the intellectual property rights of others.

9.Continuously evaluate and improve our research methods and practices, remaining open to feedback and constructive criticism.

10.Use our research to advance knowledge, promote understanding, and contribute to the betterment of society, while avoiding any misuse or misrepresentation of our findings.

Our Responsibilities

As a team engaged in academic research, we have the following responsibilities:

1.Plan and execute our research project in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to established deadlines and milestones.

2.Conduct our research with integrity and honesty, following established protocols and methodologies, and avoiding any actions that may compromise the validity or objectivity of our findings.

3.Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in our research, taking appropriate measures to minimize any risks or harms associated with our procedures.

4.Maintain accurate and organized records of our research activities and data, including any observations, measurements, or analyses.

5.Analyze and interpret our data in an objective and unbiased manner, recognizing any potential sources of error or bias that may influence our results.

6.Present our research findings in a clear and understandable manner, using appropriate formats and media to communicate our data to diverse audiences.

7.Disseminate our research results widely, sharing our findings with other researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public, as appropriate.

8.Respect the intellectual property rights of others, citing and acknowledging the sources of our information and ideas, and avoiding any plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct.

9.Collaborate effectively with other members of our research team, communicating openly and transparently, and sharing responsibilities and resources as needed.

10.Continuously evaluate and improve our research methods and practices, seeking feedback and input from other experts in our field, and remaining open to new ideas and perspectives.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies both within project spaces and in public spaces when an individual is representing the project or its community. Examples of representing a project or community include using an official project e-mail address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event. Representation of a project may be further defined and clarified by project maintainers.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the project team at [email protected]. The project team will review and investigate all complaints, and will respond in a way that it deems appropriate to the circumstances. The project team is obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident. Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.

Project maintainers who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by other members of the project's leadership.
