  • Seems to only happen on coldboot, not warmboot
  • Does not happen while coreboot console debugging is enabled

managed to reproduce at loglevel 3

Race condition somewhere caused by USB-C port reset during boot. workaround: Dasharo/ec@368e08e

Proper fix would be to update the actual USB-PD application configuration EEPROM, probably in coreboot.
