Parameter descriptions
Phylogeny (whatever we call the column): number of species with ranges in Canada for a given genus
Species_Guess : Equivalent of the "What did you see?" field on the observation form, this is the name of the organism observed. If the taxon ID is absent, iNat will try to choose a single taxon based on this string, but it may fail if there's some taxonomic ambiguity.
taxon.observations_count : a metric of how often the species/taxon is recorded in the database
I think user information is important data to see if the skill of the observer (proxy by id count and observation count??) is likely to affect the misidentification of bees
user_id : does it matter who the user is (i.e. a beekeeper vs average person vs bee researcher)? would we be able to find this type of info? should we just use user ranking/experience metrics?
user.identificationscount: not referenced in the API or the iNatTools R script - believed to be the number of identifications a user has made
user.observationscount: not referenced in the API or the iNatTools R script - believed to be the number of observations a user has made
location : geographic coordinates of where the observation occurred - we could use this to create the heat map to see if there is clustering + if this clustering is in areas with more bee species range overlap
comments_count : observations with lots of comments may mean that there was a debate over ID
