There is an ongoing effort for this schema to be adopted by most of the major tournament bracket sites (start.gg, challonge, etc.) and I think it would be a great addition not only for this but for bracket-manager as well. It covers a lot of modern needs, especially for esports games.

I've seen this when it started 1 or 2 years ago, but it's really different from my model, and I don't think it's used a lot. (I may be wrong though.)
I don't plan on supporting OBF in the viewer, as it was created with my brackets-model in mind, which is more focused on what the manager supports (round-robin, single and double elimination).
In the future, I may add a function in the manager to export to OBF. For now, nobody ever asked it.
Feel free to create an issue on the manager if you need it.
I think import/export in the manager would be fine. The OBF team has quarterly meetings with some devs from those bracket sites in attendance, as they're trying to get it adopted as a standard of sorts. I will make an issue on the manager project.
hi @Drarig29 - i am one of the maintainers of OBF, happy to hop on a call sometime if you think it will help.
We now have a 3rd party open sourced exporter for Challonge and Startgg, and the next goal is to work on a OBF visualizer.
