TC Rail reverse recipes #278
Comments
Even tho this is a old idea maybe we could make this work with trains as well, say you have a cart hauler and its getting old, you guys could add different skins for the trains say like when its new its super clean but as you use it it gets dirtier and rustier so if you wanted to say, recycle a old loco or piece of rolling stock because the rust is starting to make it not useable or viable you could say put it in a "uncrafing" table and get some of your parts back such as wheels, engines, maybe cabs etc @EternalBlueFlame @NitroxydeX |
@TrainsAndThings I already had an Idea like this so that Trains get dirty/snowy based on the underground. We could let the system handle more. |
I did have ideas for doing this in the rewrite, if the system worked it would also mean artists don't have to make texture noise anymore. But the difficulty is then I have to merge two textures together then render the result, all during runtime. |
I like the Idea for Repairing/taking care of your train, but it should be an on/off option you can use, but not have to use... |
Perhaps, put the interior into another part group/array. |
I had the idea of a very complex system, where you learn trainparts, gain mechanic skill and based on your skill lvl you get more return from the reverse crafting table or a new table where you salvage trains and carts... |
Im glad this idea is getting more thought than it did when it first came out its just a rather nice thing how people can input more ideas with the information given to them. |
As title says.
So that for example a medium track (1*3) will give you 3 small TC rails back.
Same for the rest of the tracks which have nearly linear costs.
Only diffrence is the switches which have higher costs to get them.
Switches reverse costs:
Medium 44 = 7 Small
Large 66 = 11 Small
4*11 = 19 Small
