Bug Summary

Why shifting to back normal tab view after enabling vertical tab is next to impossible? I am seeing this issue since first usage of Floorp last year.

Whenever I shift back to normal tab view, the tabs UI is either gone or disfigured. (doing so because of the bottom + new tab button is mostly unresponsive when clicking it out of blue and the pinned tabs are not in the icon mode so it takes too much of space if multiple tabs are pinned and the vertical tabs lacks collapse panel like edge browser or minimize tabs in brave browser)

Reproduction Steps

  • Enabled vertical tabs from settings
  • Disabled vertical tabs, asked to restart, but tabs panel is any form is gone.
  • Re-nabled vertical tabs, but then tabs are not visible.
  • Horizontal and multi-row tab view doesn't view in any time (tried to beta floorp too but same results)

Expected Behavior

Get normal tab view back to due the bugs and issues with vertical tabs.

Actual Behavior

Explained before.

Browser Version

11.21.0 (64-bit)

Operating System

W11 and W10

Additional Context

Not much but the overall procedure to shift back and forth needs to be simplified and checked as it smoothly done in edge and brave browser and vivaldi browser.

The cause is that when you select the vertical tab, the bottom tab bar of that image moves from the default to optimized for the vertical tab bar.

???

Still clueless of what you said which doesnt help me know to go back and forth between normal tab view and vertical tab view? If you could guide me in that way, it would be better as I dont want to jump to some other browser as I use this for work.

When you select the vertical tab, it moves to optimization in the vertical tab bar, so if you want to display the horizontal tab again, please check the red circled area.
