Regarding IEEE Std 11073-10207:

Currently descriptors representing the same object, component, metric, etc. are allowed to be replaced with descriptors with another handle representing the same thing, especially in different SequenceIds/InstanceIds of the same provider.

It would be much preferred for verification and validation purposes that those handles stay the same accross all SequenceIds and all InstanceIds of the same provider.

Could this be added into SDPi?

Caution: this requirement may not be reasonably applicable to context states. Plus

  • Can it be a safety measure to assign new handle names, esp. after a cold boot?
  • Does that behavior work with removable subcomponents?

Or: Can we make sure this requirement can withstand the side effects it may cause?
