Batch converter tool for listings #8
Comments
Thanks @sohilpandya! |
@KatieRussellTBE, how are we coming along with the spreadsheet. we are getting towards the end of the project and need the list as soon as possible. Thanks |
@sohilpandya - We should be able to get it to you by the end of today. |
_BULK TEST_ILL_Survey Worksheet_FINAL.xlsx Hi @sohilpandya - here is the prepared spreadsheet with 438 entries. I've kept the columns separate for the street number, street name and post code as in the original spreadsheet that volunteers completed. This is because there are about 8 entries which come up as 'no post code' in the batch converter and so do not have any of the mapping reference numbers. Often this I think results from one entry having two buildings attached to it, each with a different post code. I'm not sure you have any suggestions for dealing with this? Or whether we have to choose just one of the post codes. The first column is 'Building Name' - I've kept this in as it would be good to include this as part of the address line when displayed on the site, e.g. The Exmouth Arms, 10 Exmouth Market, post code. Is there a way of doing this? It's also something that @nogainbar may also need to be aware of for the design. Finally, I've kept two columns for 'Date Built (actual)' and 'Date Built (estimated)' as sometimes the data appears in one column and not the other. We're only going to have one 'Date Built' field, and I've tried to merge them but the data gets lost. Perhaps you can help with this? I hope this helps, but please let us know if you have any questions. - Many thanks! |
Hi @NicoleCrockett & @KatieRussellTBE
We've done some research and found a batch converter from UK Grid reference finder.
We'd like you to use this tool to add a couple of extra fields - (latitude and longitude) in the spreasheet.
I'll try to describe the process down below, but happy to go over it on the phone if it makes it easier.
We would need you to include these in the spreadsheet that you'll be forwarding to us. Please let us know if the steps above work for you.
