This may be off topic but...I'll give it s shot.
Voxelabs new Aquila D1 model. It's running on Marlin 2.0 now. With Octoprint 1.8.7, it will print just fine. However, the job status screens never pop up on the printers display. Just stays at the normal screens like when after you boot up. So, no job status, ability to change temp or Z offset or even cancel the job. You can still modify the temp and cancel from Octoprint, even change the feed rate. Can't change the Z offset though or at least...haven't figured it out. Maybe Gcode from terminal?
So, I emailed Voxelab. They have an updated firmware, 2.0.2, but no info on what's changed. Asked about it and the status screen issue and they said there's no change in firmware (why release it then) and Octoprint isn't supported yet? I found that hard to believe actually.
Now, she you connect via serial port with Octoprint, an error message pops up that says something to the effect of... The printers firmware supports action controls but it's disabled in firmware. Enable it. But, it also says you can print fine without it and..it seems to. Guess I'll have to crack open the source and tweak that.
Ultimately, my question is...does anyone know if this could be related to the status screen? As in, could enabling this in firmware actually solve the issue?
Honestly....I'm still surprised I could mod the famed Alex version for my Aquila (my first printer, not the Aquila D1) to crank up the hot end to 300c and add a couple of preheat menu items...lol. was hoping I wouldn't have to go through firmware modding already on a new printer. Argh.
Anyway...any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
