There are some problems with the current code. For example:

  • The Region class packs a lot of responsibilities since it carries both information about the region to be synthesized and information about the observed region.
  • The code for fitting a spectrum is a general mess.
  • There is probably code that does nothing useful and can be deleted safely.
  • The file "fitting.py" is currently not being used, if memory served (double check this). Can maybe be removed.
