Possibility of editing the version number of a revision

A user has asked "I tried to update the entry for an online paper of mine with a new revision. The problem I encountered was that there seemed to be no way to indicate in the metadata that the new file was v.04, as opposed to the originally uploaded version (v.02). Previewing the entry, KCWorks was using the new file but the Edition heading (under the Details tab) was still labelling it as "v.02". Is there a way to edit/update this field?"

I can see where this might be helpful, putting this in the "feature requests" for evaluation.
