A component should be able to contain other components, and/or be associated with one or more interfaces or tasks - as per the CubeSat Mission Design Based on a Systems Engineering Approach Sharan A. Asundi, Norman G. Fitz-Coy, IEEE Aerospace Conference, 2013

As of Aug 8, 2021, DOF framework now includes a data structure for a function. Open PR for an interface in progress

closing, as DOF-Component should suffice, if not will be extended, to satisfy this issue
