Resetting a Jetson TX2 usb port

Hi all,

there have been occurences of our Jetson TX2 based devices not properly talking to usb devices the users connect. We can remotely log in to the devices in question, but cannot unplug/plug the problematic usb devices because they are deployed at our users. It would come in handy to disconnect/reconnect them electronically.

This guide by RideRun doesn't seem to work in our case.

I also found this thread on the NVidia support forums, but they talk about patching some source files which sounds pretty complicated to me.

Is resetting the USB port something that someone around here has accomplished? How did you do it?
