The evil within 1's vsync is trash. If you use a third party vsync its fine. game runs like butter. Unfortunately TEW1 crashes if gedosato is running.

When i owned an R9 390X i could disable TEW's vsync and use catalyst control panels vsync instead and it transformed the performance from a stuttery mess to smooth as butter experience.

But now that i have a gtx1080, i cant force vsync through nvidia control panel because nvidia control panel requires games to have an exclusive fullscreen mode to work. TEW1 uses some sort of borderless windowed mode.

Nvidia needs to get their act together quick because more and more games being released today use borderless windowed mode as default

I have tried absolutely everything to force vsync in TEW1. I've even tried different ENBS as some of that boris guy's enbs have a vsync setting.

Gedosato is the only other 3rd party tool i can think of that can force a game to use vsync. Nvidia inspector is just as useless as nvidia control panel for games that dont have a true fullscreen mode.

Plus, isn't The Evil Within an opengl game? Perhaps better to disable bultin vsync and then use RTSS to limit the framerate.

No TEW1 uses directX which is unusual for an idtech game
