The problem

Currently, vehicle keys are managed through the state system, which limits the player's ability to interact with keys in an immersive way. This can restrict role-playing scenarios, as players have no tangible representation of keys that they can see, share, or manage.

Ideal solution

It would be great if vehicle keys were represented as actual items within the player's inventory. By implementing keys as items, players could have a more realistic experience, as they could:

  • Visually see the keys in their inventory.
  • Share keys directly with other players by trading the item.
  • Duplicate keys for other players or in case of loss.
  • Manage multiple vehicle keys in a straightforward way.

I think it's a good idea too. Nowadays players like to have items even if theorically there is no big use for it.
