cheerio uses htmlparser2 which has issues parsing with compliance.

For example, a browser (and parse5) will parse this part of an html document as text:

<%= some ruby shit %>

whereas htmlparser2 will see it as an html tag. parse5 can produce a dom tree that is compatible with cheerio, or just use whacko.
