Adevinta's Hacktoberfest 2021 @s-ui-components project
Welcome to Adevinta's Hacktoberfest 2021 edition! For this edition, we have decided to improve our participation and create a document to summarise the event’s purpose, and how it aligns with our point of view and objectives.
Open source is changing the world – one contribution at a time.
Let's start Hacking!
Is it your 1st time participating in Hacktoberfest?
Ok, don't worry. This entry will help you understand how you can become a sui-components 👨💻 open source proud and altruistic contributor. Of course, it will help you get the event award as well 😉
But wait, HACK-TO-WHAT-IS-THAT-S***? 🤔
Hacktoberfest encourages participation in the open source community, which grows bigger every year. This is the 8th edition! It's a month-long celebration of open source software run by DigitalOcean. During the month of October, they invite you to join open-source software enthusiasts, beginners, and the developer community by contributing to open-source projects, like this one, the sui-components 🎉🎉🎉.
8th edition? How was it going b4?
2020 Hacktoberfest Recap!
What will I gain from participating?
Complete the 2021 challenge and earn a limited edition T-shirt. Although you can choose between trees 🌳 or tees 👕 . Rather than receive t-shirts as swag, you can choose to have a tree planted in your name and help make Hacktoberfest 2021 more carbon neutral. Take a look at previous edition planted trees album. You need to be within the first 50k participants to integrate 4 different PR's on any participating open-source project.

Tell me more...
However, it all begins with meaningful contributions to open-source software. We are committed to prioritizing quality contributions as outlined in our participation rules.
Ok, how can I start contributing?
If it's your first time participating, you should start reading this post. You may also need to read this general participant post.
Adevinta's Design-Ops team has documented a set of issues we consider suitable for this event.
In order to help you get your event goals. We've split these by complexity as explained below.
Complexity – stars
Status – colors
We wish you a nice Hacktober month. We hope you get your prize.
ISSUES LIST
One more thing...
We are proud you have chosen to contribute to AdevintaSpain’s Design System project. We hope you had an excellent developer’s experience and that you will keep collaborating in open-source projects.
Don’t forget to share your experience from Hacktoberfest'21 on dev.to
Looking forward to see you in next years edition too!
