Description of the issue:

*Since YeastGEM also have Python users, it would better to also include a python function for anaerobic condition setup. The Matlab function for this can be referred here.

Good point. @cheng-yu-zhang Could you help to solve this issue?

Hi, it's been a while on this thread (and I might have missed something) but is there a python function for anaerobic condition setup? I tried constraining oxygen transport to zero in the python version and got no growth (but you likely know that already).

There is no python function. We are also curating the model to get better performance at anaerobic conditions. This work is not fully finished yet, but it is based on the discussions here. The model curations are a combination of generic changes to the model as detailed here and anaerobic-only changes detailed here. This is still work in progress, the manuscript is being written up, but the final result will be close to what is shown there.

Once the above is finished, we could easily provide a python version of the anaerobicModel.m script.

Got it - thank you! I appreciate your continued development of this model.
