I'm thinking about incorporating this into the PR generation client I'm writing to verify that the commit messages are secom compliant.

It looks like it's exclusively designed as a CLI, but if I wanted to use it as a library, how likely is the API to break in the future?

Hey,

It will likely break since I've been working on new features and a better architecture to make it usable as an API. My motivation was the integration of compliance features (and other new features) in code review platforms.

The last release available is a CLI. But I'm planning to release a new one in two weeks. Would this work for you?
