Issues to be addressed and fixed: (edit Sept 15, 2022: ranked subissues in terms of priority, and grouped subissues into three classes with descending priority.)

  1. Minimum necessary features
  • All new panes should be incorporated as planned
  • When searching with an inflected wordform, e.g. nikî-nipân, clicking on the lemma, i.e. nipâw, should take to the paradigm page. Now this only works when searching with the lemma wordform.
  • Linguistic analysis results should show up as a pop-up as a result of a tap, not a long-press (as it is impossible to see the results).
  1. Improving speed
  • The general speed (or lack thereof) needs some serious attention and improvement.
  1. Visual appearance improvements
  • The welcome text "This is an intelligent dictionary for ..." should disappear when any results for searches are shown (even when unsuccessful). The text should only appear when a user starts using the app.
  • Turning mobile device to horizontal orientation should swap the orientation of the app (also as that gives horizontal space).
  • The font size for the dictionary entry heads should be bigger (same size as for the definitions, taking into account size differences between fonts).
  • The font size for the inflectional code and its relabelings should be smaller (same size or slightly smaller than the entry heads and definition texts).
  • The space between the definitions should be lesser.
  • The space between the (i) button for the FST analysis results and the speaker should be slightly narrower.
