A kind IEM user pointed out to me that IDP GIS has a REST service that emits a number of metadata values I have long lusted for.

  • ➖ The stage values associated with Action, Flood, Moderate, Major, we already had this with scripts/hads/process_ahps_xml.py.
  • station_attributes table storage of stage variable PEDTS
  • General metadata regarding the NWSLI

So we have some putzing to do. The original user request was

  • add horizontal lines of these stages to autoplot 160.
  • A mechanism to get daily max values of stage and/or a max value over a period of days.
