According to the release schedule, the next release should be major 54.0.0 (including API changes) released early December 2024

I plan to make a RC for this sometime next week, so eta for a release to crates.io would be Dec 16 or so

Yes, I am hoping to do so. I was planing to run though open PRs / do some testing downstream in DataFusion over the next few days and cut a release Thur or Friday

I filed a ticket to track the idea of another release from the 53.x line

I think we are in good shape now and I plan to create the 54.0.0 release candidate tomorrow morning (US East Coast Time)
