Plug-in for freecad and blenderbim #14
Comments
It's already added to Bonsai (formally Blenderbim): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRCtyrm2REs |
Can you also make into freecad yes now i see needs to be ported on python |
Might want to put a feature request on freecad's issue tracker |
@Isaina it would be nice to port to python, but it isn't really necessary. The way that git implements three-way-merging means that the tool has to be a standalone executable (basically you configure git to use a custom 'mergetool' whenever a normal merge fails). On systems with a built-in perl interpreter (Mac, Linux typically) ifcmerge should work without problems, on Windows the tool needs to be compiled into an EXE file, so rewriting in python wouldn't help. Also I believe python has been removed from Mac default installations, so the perl version is probably more portable. |
