We often tell dirt rangers to put an ims number like 123 in their subject line of their incident report to make it easier for us to match up.
A dedicated metadata field for "target ims number" that shows up in the incident reports dispatch list would make it MUCH easier to do the housekeeping and clean things up. (And would be a gentle nudge to field rangers to get an ims number from their operator.)
For bonus points, a button that operators could use to verify the proposed attachment and make the proposed ims number the actual attachment point rather than requiring that we go thru the usual dropdown list sequence would be very smooth ux.
