I think this is related to this failed test so I'm going to comment here.
When navigating to maas.io/docs/api either directly or through the side navigation a seemingly random other side navigation item is highlighted. Which one is highlighted changes after a couple of refreshes for me.

Chrome 120.0.6099.216 ARM on MacOS
