We should link it / push it on the Cardboard site

I think our Chrome extension is currently not officially reviewed and have to be manually installed? Not sure if there exists a form that can be advertised... @maximized is any parts of the extension and/or instructions doc you have right now able to be moved into the github repo?

The Chrome extension is currently in the Chrome Store but it is only accessible to trusted testers (i.e. our Google Group) via a direct link.

The extension is in the Github repo. Deploying the extension involves zipping the chrome_extension/cardboard directory and publishing it in the Chrome store via the cardinalitypuzzles Gmail account.

For other teams, is it a goal to either try to get the Chrome extension released for general use by hunt 2025, or have a process for allowing outside signups to the trusted testers list?

Or should we pursue doing our own side installs from the GitHub for anyone who may want to use it?

Getting the Chrome extension released for general use is an eventual goal but we are not going to commit to that for 2025 hunt.

I can add documentation to this directory in a few days with instructions on what you need to do to get this working for your own Cardboard instance and how to side load it.
