The Pettersson M500-384 mic has LED:s that indicates power-on and recording-on. When using Pettersson u256/u384 or Dodotronics mics there are no LED:s.
A single LED should be possible to connect via the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins.
Suggested patterns:
Detector i powered up: Short pulse 0.5 Hz.
Recording: Short pulse 1.0 Hz.
Recording and sound detected: Short pulse 2.0 Hz.
Error state (mic is missing, etc.): Long pulse, 50%, 2.0 Hz.
It should also be possible to add another LED that indicates the peak frequency when sound is detected.
