Linux package maintainers wanted! #57
Comments
I've made a NixOS package for ImagePlay, but it isn't working correctly, since it is looking for the icons/images in the same directory as the executable. I tried changing the working directory, but it somehow links to the location of the executable. #64 is probably already covering this. The initial version of the package can be found here: bobvanderlinden/nixpkgs@aea008a |
I maintain python-theano, python-mahotas, and texlive-ewuthesis in the Arch Linux AUR. I plan on using this program to support my Master's Thesis. I'd be happy to help with the packaging as well. If you are interested I can help |
Please @oraac we are delighted if you can package the recent final version of ImagePlay for ArchLinux. We don't know about the processes in Archlinux, you might get into contact with "fabianz" which did apparently already some work here https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/imageplay-git/ |
AUR maintainer of imageplay-git here. I am not actively using ImagePlay at the moment, but an ArchLinux user has brought an apparent linking error with OpenCV to my attention: Complete build log EDIT: Also, if anyone who uses ImagePlay more regularly and is acquainted with the AUR packaging guidelines wants to step up as a maintainer for the above mentioned package, please let me know. |
I'm not familiar with AUR but our develop branch already supports opencv 3.1.0 which will be released as ImagePlay 6.1.0 soon. |
Maybe you'd be interested in AppImage? it allows you package ImagePlay once and run on many different Linux distributions. |
Sounds cool, you like to give us a hand with that? |
And for documentation purposes: brew cask install imageplay |
Please see #93 |
We are looking for linux package maintainers to introduce ImagePlay to your favorite Linux distribution. Please get into contact here.
