Zoom or Crop outside

Will it be possible to implement zoom in the future? or the crop outside the image like in other packages?

What other packages, can you please name some other packages that might be better or as good as crop_image?

Actually, rotation was contributed some time ago by a kind user, maybe somebody else in need would tackle the zoom as well. As to the crop outside the image, I don't even understand the idea. :-)
