Steps to reproduce

  1. Open element-desktop
  2. Klick into the "Search" field above the contact list
  3. Quickly type a contact to search for
  4. Instead of letting me completing the search, the search window just closes again.
  5. If I instead type slowly (much slower than my normal typing speed), and wait for the search results to get updated after each character I typed, I can finish my search.

Outcome

What did you expect?

That I can quickly search for contacts in my contact list I know the nickname of, but which are off-screen.

What happened instead?

Search just closed after the first characters when I typed at normal typing speed.

Artix GNU/Linux (rolling release)

Application version

Element version: 1.11.86; Crypto version: Rust SDK 0.7.2 (517d99b), Vodozemac 0.7.0
