It is possible to write an <hr> as * * *. If Parsedown sees one after a list, it gets confused.

Horizontal rule made up of three stars

* * *

An unordered list

* List item
* Another list item
* There now follows two newlines and then another horizontal rule

* * *

It renders the rule as:

 <li>
    <ul>
      <li>
        <ul>
          <li>
          </li>
        </ul>
      </li>
    </ul>
  </li>
