How I get my best work done:

• I observe a lot at first
• Having someone help guide me if I'm stuck on something new that I'm learning. I definitely learn more by doing!
• In a lighthearted low-stress atmosphere!
• I reread things a lot!
• I make a lot of mistakes! But I learn from them
• With frequent snacks 🥯🌮🍜

The role I usually take in a team:

• I am quiet at first. I learn a lot more when I can observe what others are doing
• I like to come up with ideas, sometimes I am good at this!

My communication style:

• Sometimes find it hard to put into words what I'd like to say, sometimes a diagram is much better!

What I value:

• Group catch ups and lighthearted chat
• Patience. It takes me a little longer to learn new things (part of my dyslexia)

What people misunderstand about me:

• Sometimes I find it hard to say what I mean (and sometimes I say the wrong thing!), I think this makes me look like I don't know what I'm talking about.
• I can get frustrated when I am stressed

I really enjoyed being in a team with Jessica, she wasn't afraid to step up to any challenges and I was lucky enough to pair programme with her when we conquered them! Also always making me laugh throughout!

A pleasure to work with over the past few weeks! Provided sunshine in our group and kept our moods up. When pair programming together, Jessica will always take time to make sure you both understood what was going on. Also, she knows a lot more than she thinks and I believe she can tackle any challenge she sets her mind to.

Always brings a good vibe to the day, reminds us to not get too stressed out when it's crunch time. Willing to learn, observe and ask questions and have a crack at new challenges. Great on design and makes our sites and presentations beautiful and full of character!

Jess has been an amazing team member during our 3-week project. She was confident in leading the user research, using her personal knowledge of the subject to help the rest of the group understand the issue and create very specific user stories. She is an absolute wizard in the design department, but also had no issues diving into the technical side of deployment and server setup.
