Copy old conference pages? #338
Comments
Although I like the idea, we want to end the hosting contract of the old website. So we will need to find a different solution if we need/want to keep the pages available from the previous conferences. |
It's not just the conferences but also workshops/vacatures. I think it would be good to make a local copy (as you once did?) 'flat' and put them in a subdomain in the same URL structure. |
We have a copy stored indeed, it's about 20GB in size with all the video files. That's not something we want to add to Github, we need to look into some hosting solution for that. Which we currently don't have, only hosting we have is for some old stuff we want to get rid of. Keeping the conference sites I get, but the old vacaturebank and workshops I'm not so sure about. I would prefer in taking this moment in time to clean up the internet of unneeded/out-of-date information. |
You are right with the vacaturebank, I took another look and it was only some links to /vacaturebank which I changed appropriately in the open PR (#340) :) We CAN integrate the pages that don't have a local URL yet and change the references. I'll take a look at that this week. Would be the best solution, then we have all the content but we don't have to consider the old site. The video files maybe we can put on Vimeo or Youtube? |
The markdown for the conference pages is in the /backup-md folder! |
