This repo needs some serious attention w.r.t. to successful c++ compilation with a standard compiler flags. I would suggest far less use of virtual/abstract classes, and/or re-writing the code in a different language that is designed for that.

@justin-ashworth-research This is a pretty stale project, and given the well supported alternatives out there now I don't expect further work, at least I'm not planning on continuing development. I'd recommend using Rasterio https://rasterio.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
