Alt text wrapped in grave marks is deleted.

Reproduce the bug

For example, the word "Box" is removed by mdformat

Thanks a lot! I can reproduce even without any mdformat plugins. This needs to be fixed.

(Note to self) Proper fix needs markdown-it-py synced with markdown-it (the JS package) version 14.0.0.
