On October 3, the Desktop team discussed about the future of Hyperspace Desktop on the Mac, including Apple Silicon support for Macs with the new M1 chip. Thankfully, Electron has been updated recently to support Apple Silicon, and we look forward to bringing support on these new devices.
For the time being, until we have the ability to keep updating Hyperspace Desktop (see #232), you may notice slowdowns or unexpected behavior on M1 Macs. This is to be expected since v1.1.4 has not been optimized for Apple Silicon Macs yet. When development resumes, we will develop an update that will add support for those Macs.
