I finally managed to get the firmware flashed to the PIC16LF1938, and as someone who has never flashed a microcontroller before, it was a journey. I could not get the portable executable for PICkit3 working, it kept crashing at various stages. The MPLAB X IPE software was even worse, I tried 6.2 and 5.5 but both versions just said nope when trying to access the power settings. Eventually I stumbled upon the PICkitminus software, and that worked instantly. So if anyone else are having similar trouble with the software in Windows 11 using PICkit3, PICkitminus might be worth a shot.
With that being said, thank you very much for your effort in making this available.
