How to pin an image/div with a background image?

Hi! I tried to pin an element containing a background image.

But when I tried to scroll down to trigger it to follow me as I scrolled,
the image first shifted to the right, then as I scrolled further it disappeared from sight, reappearing only at the end of the scene. May I know how to fix that?
