User defaults back to another one in plugin settings

I have 3 users in Jellyfin and it seems since version plugin version 26.0.0.0 (Jellyfin 10.10.0) the default user was changed away from mine, and I cannot make changes that will stick.
It seems it will just keep the one that comes first in the alphabet, and even though it looks like I can change the user from the dropdown menu, when I come back to the settings I can see nothing has actually changed, which means no Trakt sync is happening at all anymore.
