2013
Decathlon e-commerce teams
1 release every 6 months
Lack of internal expertise
---
class: slideFont
![Default-aligned image](./images/Projet-Support.svg# picture)
???
__J-B__
Real separation between developers team and support team - WE build it, YOU run it !
---
class: slideFont
![Default-aligned image](./images/step1BreakTheWall.svg# picture)
???
__Julien__
From Project > Support organization to "Product Team"
Habits are hard to change there is still some cross teams
Fusion began one competency at the time
Equipe cross comme les QAs par exemple

__Julien__
No Product Owner in Product Team
Product owners and managers are prioritizing

__J-B__
---
class: slideFont
![Default-aligned image](./images/CrossTeamsInTeams.svg# picture)
???
__J-B__
But Managers are still between users and teams
Hierarchical bias
Less and less cross competencies feature are almost fully staffed

# Issues faced
* ** New internal competencies to develop **
* ** Hard to help people increase their skills on a job you do not know **
* ** One manager for at least 6 different jobs **
* ** No skills seniority **
???
__J-B__
Managers no more in the Relation
No clues nor strategies to increase seniority and recruit internaly
---
class: slideFont
![Default-aligned image](./images/ActualOrganization.svg# picture)
???
__Julien__
And now ?
No more decisions taken by managers regarding feature team operations or roadmap
Product Team members are the only one to decide inside it within the given user experience's frame
Some managers are still solutions owners
Same manager on a competency across multiple feature teams
---
class: slideFont
# And now ?
* ** Role standardization **
* ** Attractivity **
* ** Warning on number of meetings **
* ** Lack of managers **
???
__Julien__

class: slideFont
# Next Steps / Next topics
* ** Managers are handling only one competency at a time (Developers, Support, ..) **
* ** One community/guild for each role and define what we expect from it **
* ** Opening our meetup, BBL, meetings, .. **
* ** How many people can we manage like that ? **
* ** Can we manage people regardless of their functionnal perimeters ? **
* ** How do we have to collaborate with our Product Managers ? **
???
__J-B__
