Error Time out.

I have seen other posts about this but mine errors out randomly about every 30mins to an hour. Running this on the Pi4 and used both the USB3 and 2 ports with the same error. I have tried the same fixes others have and no luck. The restart of home assistant makes them all unavailable and I have to reboot the host to fix it. Any ideas on how to fix this? I will try to post the errors line once it happens again.

I gave up on these sensors as I was having reliability issues. I just installed a bunch of sonoff zigbee sensors and they have much better range and battery life reporting. They are slightly bigger. They are really easy to integrate into home assistant without flashing the zigbee hub. You can still flash it with tasmota if you like.

How comparable is the speed the sonoff sensors detect compared to wyze? I like that the wyze sensors are almost instant.

They are instant. The only thing I noticed was the magnetic door sensors when they open take about half a second to register but when they close they are instant. The motion sensor was instant. For the motion sensors, just like wyze once they are triggered they stay on for 1 minute. The motion sensors are also able to capture distance from much farther away.

Nice, sounds good. How did you integrate into the HA? Does the AlexxIT Sonoff integration include the hub and Zigbee devices?

I use HACS with this integration with the sonoff zigbee hub. No flashing with tasmota, and the range is really good.

try the erlanger fork of this repository. it has a fix applied, discussed in another issue here, that may address your issue. I run an rpi4b 2gb on hass x64 ver.116 > 2020.12.1 & haven't seen an issue in weeks.
