Dear Google Code-in participant, this page covers the basics that you need to know to dive in Kiwix for Android hacking.

To to compile the the app for the first time please read the REAMDE and follow its instructions

Before contributing to our project, please have a look at these instructions.

Be sure to select kiwixDebug as your buildVariant in the bottom left of Android Studio unless otherwise specified.

Once you have your feature/fix ready on your fork submit a pull request and post the link in the GCI interface marking the task for review.

If you want realtime help outside of the GCI site feel free to ask on http://chat.kiwix.org/ or http://kiwixoffline.slack.com/ and we will try to answer as quickly as possible.
