Our hetzner worker was a CX22 which costed 3.79€/mo for 20TB traffic. Bandwidth was OK but we could clearly max it out (or it was ProtonVPN's). FAQ says We do not offer bandwidth guarantees for our Cloud servers, but you can expect about 300-500 Mbits

With the current configuration, we are currently making 1443 tests each day, 48MiB per test, accounting for roughtly 67.3GiB/day and thus up to 2.04TiB per month.

At Scaleway, for a similar price (3.89€), there is only the learning instance limited to 100mbps. Over 500mbps starts at 35€/m. Dedibox ones starts at 57€/m. There are elastic metal options below 40€/mo.

At OVH there are VPS at 5.52€/mo for 500mbps (VLE-2) and 11.04€/mo for 1Gbps (VLE-4).

At Linode, there are VPS at $12/mo for 40Gbps (Linode 2GB, 2TB quota).

Although we dont like limited plans, I feel more confident Linode will deliver its service without hidden limitations than OVH.

@kelson42 @benoit74 @Popolechien WDYT?

I think that we should ask Marcane for this machine as well. We have very limited requirements in terms of CPU / Mem / storage, we only need "unlimited" bandwidth and 2T per month is probably mostly free for them. This would also means that we will probably never max out the local bandwidth, only our architecture would be the limitation. And anyway this machine was indeed also running on Hetzner.

I don't think they would mind about it.

Other alternative: find someone ready to donate a Hetzner CX22 machine ^^ Given its very low price, this is probably even the simplest (and funniest) move.

Let's ask Marcane, they'll be more reliable under the upcoming partnership than having a Hetzner machine donated by an individual (even though lulz would be had).
