Kiwigrid Teams use Helm since a pretty long time and this plugin has been a important piece for all services built with Gradle. That being said, we're moving away from Helm so continuously investing in the maintenance and development of Helm related open source can't be afforded forever.
So with this issue I'd like to inform that we're searching for a new owner and home of this project. If you're interested please comment with some details how you'd like to shape the future of the plugin. The maintenance effort is very low usually and we got automated tests and CI/CD via Github actions. Notable areas of maintenance is maintaining gradle and helm version compatibility and fixing bugs.
If we won't find a new home we're gonna archive the repository at some point in time.

To be able to publish the plugin to the gradle plugin portal you will need to create a profile there and add the appropriate key and secret tokens to the repository (or org) secrets. AFAIK the tokens are personalized so I'll remove mine prior to the transfer. Depending on the logic of the gradle plugin portal you shouldn't be required to transfer the plugin ownership (which is easily done with a request like this ) if you change the plugin id first.
Same story here, I'd propose to attach the renaming PR to this ticket since it related to the adoption. Don't forget to care about the publication credentials mentioned above.
