What is SNES9x Next?

SNES9x Next is an emulator that runs games made for the following systems:

  • Super Nintendo Entertainment System / Super Famicom

Runs on

SNES9x Next runs on the following systems:

  • PlayStation3 (Custom firmware/Jailbreak)

Based on

SNES9x Next is based on SNES9x, but has been heavily modified to achieve better speed. It also supports various features that other SNES9x ports do not have, such as:

  • Game Aware Shaders
  • Remote network sound (through RSound)
  • Border support (through shaders)
